Anthony's 30th Birthday

Anthony turned 30 years old on June 30th! Finally he isn't in his 20's anymore and joined me in my 30's! LOL! We enjoyed the day cooking out and enjoyed catching up with friends and family on what has been going on with them. It was a really great day! The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins and friends and swimming in the pool. We also did a water balloon fight..so that was some added fun that no one expected at all. All in all I think he had a great birthday! He seemed to have enjoyed his day and relaxed with no work that day! We finished the evening with birthday cake and all ended up eating more than what we expected! Here is to many more great birthdays ahead!!

Father's Day

This morning the kids woke up and ran in and woke Anthony up and told him Happy Father's Day! Then we made him pancakes for breakfast! We gave him his tacklebox, new fishing pole, we went and picked up his new fishing license, and some new lures to go along with it all. He seemed so suprised that we did such a good job picking everything out! He couldn't wait to go fishing! So, him and a friend of his went fishing for a few hours to enjoy his day. We had dinner ready for him when he came home..and he said it was the best father's day and very relaxing! All in all I think we suceeded on him having a great Father's Day...and that he is very special to us.

Baby Shower Gift

Not the best picture I have taken...but here are the onesies that I made for one of my cousins (Heather's) Baby Shower. I used onesies (store bought), and used my cricut to cut the fabric and ironed it on them. I made a S on one for her name Scarlett (Due Julye27th). She just loved them when she opened them. I had a lot of fun making these and I have other things lined up to make for my kids and my nieces and nephews. I will post them as well when I get done.

Fort Fisher Aquarium

Me and Mahayla went with Amaya on her 1st grade field trip to Fort Fisher Aquarium! We went down to Kure Beach and had a good lunch. Then we got on a ferry boat and went over to the Aquarium. It was fun seeing the kids ride the ferry for the first time. They couldn't believe the buses and cars were on there too! We saw lots of fishes and sting rays and all kinds of sea creatures. We even got to take time and touch a starfish and sting ray! The girls were scared at first but they did it. We also seen turtles and a alligator that was ALL WHITE...the girls didn't believe it was real...but then he moved really quick..and they found out it was! We learned it was in a shaded area by itself because the other alligators were messing with him and he can't be in the sun like the others or his skin will burn. After the museaum we took time to walk on the beach. The teachers had little containers that the kids names were on and they decorated for them to collect seashells..then we all took our shoes and socks off and got our feet wet to cool us off. Some got more wet than others. In this picture is Addison, Anna, Amaya, and Mahayla posing on a Frog statue.

Last Day Of School

Mahayla
Amaya and her good friend Jaylyn

Hunter and Chance

Today was the last day of school! The kids are so excited that it was a half day at that!! The only thing they hated was they had to say goodbye to some of their friends. Amaya keeps saying she is going to miss her friends and teachers a lot. Chance is glad summer is finally starting. All he could say was NO HOMEWORK. Both kids did great on their report cards and passed their grades. So, I now will have Amaya in 2nd grade, and Chance will be in 4th. Along with Mahayla starting Pre-K. I can't believe next year they will all 3 be in school. What a shocker! A friend of mine..April...and her kids...wanted us to go eat McDonalds for lunch, then go to the park to play some and then to her mom's house to swim some. We were all glad to get outta the house...and enjoy the first day of their summer vacation. Hopefully a good start to a Great Summer!

Amaya's First Grade Field Day

Amaya about to run in her field day race
It was such a hot day! We were all ringing wet. The first part was outside..and if anyone knows in North Carolina..the humidity will hit you in the face when you open the door to go outside. We made sure the kids were hydrated really well and had lots of sunscreen on. Amaya's class won for the fastest girl runners, and won free ice cream tickets for the hoola hooping! We ( me and Mahayla) went to lunch with Amaya and then waited in their classroom before it was time for the second half of field day. Thank goodness it was inside. Amaya was in the jump roping contest, then they did basketball, and then it was time for free style dancing. The kids enjoyed that it seems like the most. It was a long, long day but we had fun. We should all sleep good tonight.
